741400 2009-01-23 09:09:00 When we got home tonight and turned on the TV, noticed several blue lines down our TV, looked like blue water running down the screen - tried turning it off and wiping the screen - to no avail?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

741401 2009-01-23 22:43:00 If they only show when the set is switched on there are two main options: If they are the same on all channels and when playing a video or DvD they could be display matrixing errors and are probably an electronic fault.

If they are not the same on all channels and do not appear on Videos or DvDs thay are probably signal faults but this would only apply for terrestrial signals, not satellite. If the latter applies, your antenna system may have been damages by weather or old age.

Hopefully your TV is still under warranty, and remember, your warranty rights do not expire just because the manufacturer's 12 or 36 month warranty period has expired. Under the CGA you are entitled to expect "reasonable life" and significant faults must still be repaired free of charge, wear and tear excluded.

Cheers for that - I rang the store and happily it is in within the 12 months factory warranty and I forgot I bought a 5 year ended warranty as well! They are sending a repair guy around next week.

All fingers crossed - esp as I just about to make my final payment on it!!
