| 741316 | 2009-01-24 07:31:00 | Amazon (and its kindle) are just as bad... If it weren't for the sony connect ebook store, I would hazard a guess that we may have seen them here in NZ. Basically I think NZ is too small for Sony to bother negotiating a deal with a local bookseller (eg: whitcoulls) or local booksellers aren't interested in selling ebooks. And they can't use the US store, as the NZ publishers/distributers would kick up a huge stink (and people might start wondering why NZ book prices are so high...) |
