740591 2009-01-20 09:36:00 I just got myself a 2nd pair of 512MB sticks, and I was going to put them in to give myself 2GB

However: the old sticks run at 2.5-3-3-7 and the new at 2.5-3-3-6: Would it be OK to manually set everything to 2.5-3-3-7 ?

I expect the faster RAM wouldn't mind running slower, but is this wise?

Can anyone speak from experience and say "it will damage the RAM" or "it will be unstable" etc?

I know you can run modules at slower clock speeds (Mhz) OK, but what about timings?

740592 2009-01-20 09:52:00 Never heard of RAMs being damaged/become unstable when it runs below its rating. Should be OK. qazwsxokmijn (102)
740593 2009-01-20 23:40:00 Looks like it doesn't matter anyway ... My board can't support 4 x Double sided sticks :( Agent_24 (57)
