543987 2007-04-26 02:14:00 A dedication, I prefer . . . . just imagine the little piston rings and the little valve retainers!

I in particular loved the working tach and oil pressure gauge .

I wonder if it has a full circulation cooling system? It didn't seem like he left it running too long . . . maybe it gets a little hot with no coolant .

543988 2007-04-26 03:05:00 That is really cool :D LOADS of work has gone into that :horrified

Yes Joe, it will have a working cooling system, he did say it was an EXACT scale model :p

543989 2007-04-26 03:19:00 It's getting the scaled-down cooling water that is tricky. R2x1 (4628)
543990 2007-04-26 03:52:00 It's getting the scaled-down cooling water that is tricky...... you just put less water in it :p same with the oil and petrol  The_End_Of_Reality (334)
543991 2007-04-26 05:33:00 Howw sad. All that time and effort and he can't drive it. pctek (84)
543992 2007-04-26 07:31:00 you just put less water in it :p same with the oil and petrol
Whoa - would putting less sparkplugs in a scaled down engine work? Half a tire on a 1/8 size model.?
Are you trying to ruin my campaign to sell micro-water? (It can also be used to make ice cubes for mini-bars.) ;)

543993 2007-04-26 07:35:00 "less" volume = 1/27th for a 1/3 linear scale. This has all sorts of implications.

The wind resistance would be 1/9th, but the motive power would be 1/27th.
