742150 2009-01-26 09:07:00 Just installed a copy of Windows 7 Beta as a dual boot O/S w/XP Home.
Next made sure to update - especially with KB961367 but Windows Media Player 12 keeps telling me any Mp3 file I'm trying to play is corrupted etc. When I boot back into XP the MP3 files are perfectly OK and play fine.
Is anybody familiar with this problem? A codec problem maybee?
I've thought about uninstalling Media Player 12 & trying putting in ver. 11 ...but poss could there be some issues with that? I can't find anything on Google. ...... & I know it's a beta - but what the hell!

742156 2009-01-26 11:09:00 Its a very well known fault. Apply the patch that zqwerty has linked to and hope that you have your music backed up, just in case. beeswax34 (63)

742159 2009-01-26 20:30:00 Seems to be a problem with WMP12, have ripped a cd and WMP12 doesn't play the wav files as well as mp3 files, also tried ripping songs with Audiograbber and not using id3 tags but still the same, also installed the codecs blam6 suggested but no avail Whenu (9358)
