| 545500 | 2007-04-30 04:43:00 | Well i can't wait until the anti-smacking bill passes. they should hurry it up. adults can't hit other adults,so adults should not be able to hit kids. Why do only adults have a right not to be hit,and kids dont? And if the police see a drunk person throwing rocks and swearing,they cannot Lightely smack that person cuz it's assault. the police will take them to the police station and lock them up for the night. Now if you have a child that is naughty,take them into their room and lock the door and if you don't have a lock,hold the door handle. If a parent cannot discipline their child without smacking then they should have their child taken away by cyfs cuz there not fit parents. |

The bit in bold above is the reason why I am asking your age, as if you where my age (I am 22) or older, then you would hopefully understand the reason why kids can’t hit there mum and dad & adults can smack there kids . A Side note: To me hinting some one mean like hinting some one with a bit of wood or a whip or something like that… Smacking to me does not count as hinting, as most parents should just give there child a light smack on the backside, to tell the child off for doing something wrong like hinting there parents etc… (Yes not all parents do this & some times they can hurt the child, but why they do this is (e . g . Smack the child hard it hurts the child) for many reasons & I guess half of it may go back when they where kids . ) When I was a child I got Smack & I turned out fine . Plus banning smacking is not going to fix the child abuse problems, all its going to do is make parents life harder to control there kids . According to it, later I ring CYFS to come and take my kids because my boy got a smack for hitting his sister when he was told twice not to. It's his 3rd birthday tomorrow. I am sure he'll appreciate my present to him when CYFS turn up to take them away. This fool, albeit 14, will realise when it grows up that voicing an opinion is a right in this democratic country, however it will also learn that stating I should have my children taken into care by CYFS is not going to help it get it's point across. |
