| 741581 | 2009-01-28 06:40:00 | Is there something wrong with the site again - at the moment since just after mid day its taking ages for anything to load- the only browser thats loading out of 5 PC's is this one, and thats running XP SP2 IE7. I have tried 5 different PC's and even phoned a mate to try from his place same thing - the site hangs on adserver.adtech.de what ever that is - pages are taking upto 5 minutes to load if at all. Just phoned another person I know 7.35pm and they have tried it - same thing - so its not the PC's here or my Internet connection. Any other site loads within a second or two. I've attached the error message - IE comes up - Loaded but with errors. The site appears to be the Norton of help forums. :( |

| 741583 | 2009-01-28 07:10:00 | Thanks mate - dont know who did what - but all of a sudden every thing has come back up to speed since I posted - currently now 8.08 and the site loaded in a flash. Cheers. Edited: in the past I haven't minded the ads, but blimey no other forum or site I go to that has ads has these kind of problems, why does PF1 always cause hassles with many problems and slowdowns. |

| 741585 | 2009-01-28 19:22:00 | Yeah just have last night - mainly use IE Pro and FF, engaged the ad blocks so now its a lot better. Still a little puzzled though - lots of sites have ads, some even more than here, yet they all load up fine and in a reasonable time - no other site I have been to does the ads actually bring the pages to a screaming halt - for a Computer Web site thats really shocking. |
