743244 2009-01-30 02:45:00 The letter V will not work unless the shift key is held down simultaneously. I have tried another keyboard and the same fault is present. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but still the same problem.
Any suggestions appreciated.

743245 2009-01-30 03:05:00 Welcome to PF1 - Sounds like some sort of lock problem - try holding down both shift key at the same time for about 5 seconds, release and see if its still doing it.

This is for XP - Check on this-

If it is still doing it go to control panel, click on accessibility options..in the keyboard tab, click on the settings buttons for sticky keys, filter keys and toggle keys and deselect the option to use shortcut..

743248 2009-02-01 01:51:00 Try making a bootable DOS floppy disk and start from that. Then see if the V key works OK Agent_24 (57)
743249 2009-02-01 01:58:00 This is more my question than Cash's, but what drivers would you need for a keyboard? the_bogan (9949)
743250 2009-02-01 02:26:00 Try a different operating system, perhaps?

Cheers :)

743251 2009-02-01 02:45:00 This is more my question than Cash's, but what drivers would you need for a keyboard? With the Basic Drivers installed from windows - most keyboards work fine, just the "Added Features" sometimes dont - hence needing the manufactures drivers.

Regarding the Problem - this is for XP - go into the control panel / keyboard, under the Key Setting Tab, click on Restore default.

Also check under Regional Settings in the control Panel that its not changed to some other country - you want either English US or English New Zealand

743252 2009-02-01 02:52:00 Is this wireless or wired.
If its wired, I would be tempted to uninstall the software, reboot & see what happens.
