| 743030 | 2009-01-29 20:36:00 | I am baffled by a website page's refusal to display properly. It is a table, and it shows only the top few rows instead of the equivalent of 3 pages or so. To see the problem: On this page (www.fortyplusest.inet.net.nz) when the picture near the bottom is clicked on, a page containing a table should appear. (To see how much information should be on the page, the download link - the blue uppercase NEW - does work). The downloaded page is a Word document (vacancies.doc) and the faulty page is the same document saved as a web page (vacancies.html). I am aware that Word is not the expert's choice for a trouble-free web page, but there are good reasons in our organisation for this being the case. The real mystery to me is that our system has worked well for months, and only yesterday, after the most recent update of the list, has this problem manifested itself. Any helpful suggestions gratefully received. |

| 743031 | 2009-01-29 20:41:00 | What browser are you using - I just tried it in IE7 and it worked perfectly, also tried it in Firefox and while it did load it didn't load correctly like IE did. | wainuitech (129) | ||

I just checked using IE6 (obviously we haven't upgraded yet!) and it's still faulty, showing approx the first 10% of the document. As it happens I was using Google Chrome, but the page should work - and has worked in the past - with all major browsers. |

Dont copy paste tables or anything from MS Word onto your webpage, the result is about a 50,000% increase in code needed to display the data. What webpage editing program do you use? [Edit] Looks as you may have a CMS on your main site, does the editor have a table button? |
