| 742807 | 2009-01-28 17:10:00 | Have installed a DSL-G604t modem router and all appears OK with 3 puters on wireless but at odd times the ADSL and WLAN lights go mad even if the connected puters are all turned off.This can go on for a long time and I usually turn the ADSL off. Also I have one box which I would like on cable but when I connect it the connecting pop up flashes in and out of "connecting and connected" and it will not connect.Have tried anther box on a different port and it is all 100% |

| 742809 | 2009-01-28 22:49:00 | For your wireless, do you have security enabled? You may have a neighbour piggybacking on your DSL connection. For the wired link, are you sure about the cable used? If so, I've had trouble with the odd ethernet port (on switches, routers & PC's at various times) and/or LAN cable which meant that my connections weren't reliable. Do the LEDs on the router (or the PC's LAN port) blink all the time (even with nothing going on)? |

| 742811 | 2009-01-29 21:43:00 | The cable is not faulty as I tried a laptop on it and it is 100% When I put it back in the XP box it is still connecting and dropping out. Sometimes it will connect for (maybe at most) 30 seconds then drop and reconnect for irregular times and drop.I have tried "repair" and tried re setting up the network connection but it is still the same.Sometimes also it connects at 10mbps but most times at 100 mbps. |
