Some of them are probably not polycarbonate. The cheapest ones aren't. THe better ones, which are probably more expensive are polycarbonate and UV treated, and probably have a warrenty.

548104 2007-05-08 01:21:00 They are all Polycarbonate, the only difference comes down to quality and guarantees.

For instance, Solasafe has a guarantee against hail/wind damage up to certain critera, for 5 years I think, and a Lifetime warranty otherwise. Not too sure about Laserlite, but I think it has similar warranties. Suntuf is a cheaper version which has a shorter warranty period.

548105 2007-05-08 01:34:00 You get what you pay for. The expensive stuff has a long guarantee period while the cheap stuff becomes opaque over time and brittle. Which to buy depends on where you are using it and how long you intend to stay at that house. If it isn't in strong sunlight or in a sheltered spot, the cheaper stuff may do the job.
