547460 2007-05-05 23:33:00 This site will tell you everything you need to know about historical exchange rates, even down to a particular month:

www.gocurrency.com

In 1992, NZ$1 = US 54 cents typically.

[Edit]
Just found some rather amusing health advice from: www.wrongdiagnosis.com

More Common Diseases and Medical Concerns for New Zealand

The following health concerns or diseases are more commonly found in New Zealand compared to the USA and other areas of the Western World:

* motor vehicle trauma - wear seatbelts and avoid night driving

547462 2007-05-06 06:11:00 According to my currency calculator it should be $2,582,970,000 winmacguy (3367)
547463 2007-05-06 06:34:00 From Terry's link the £ to US$ rate changed markedly through the year so any worthwhile answer concerning that much money would need the month. PaulD (232)

It does indeed, and I gave the NZ dollar rate instead of the British pound:
www.gocurrency.com

Even a daily rate can be obtained on that site.

547465 2007-05-06 08:10:00 My posted conversion is current for Sterling to US Dollar. (care of my iCalc currency converter and a Broadband connection). I am hoping that I had the decimal point in the right place:eek: :p winmacguy (3367)

And the day.

547467 2007-05-06 10:36:00 And the day.

In some cases even the hour, considering how much currencies move up or down during a trading session.

547468 2007-05-06 12:59:00 Don't worry about it James. That car is no longer available, and you can't get it on a student loan anyway. ;) (Wait 'til you have the full license :) ) R2x1 (4628)
