| 546781 | 2007-05-04 00:16:00 | Hi, I am looking to get a TI-89 calculator, I have been to general electronics shop such as DSE, Noel Leeming and Harvey Norman but none of them have it. Does anyone knows where in Auckland I could buy a TI-89 calculator, I tried ferrit.co.nz that didn't turn up anything. The only reason I am looking to buy the TI-89 coz you can compile program's written in C and run them on the calculator. Surely someone in New Zealand should own a TI-89. I'll also need the cable to connect to my PC so I can compile and download the program to the calculator, so if they don't sell those cables in Auckland I'd rather not buy the calculator. I believe Auckland Uni sells them, but am not sure. CHEERS, |

[Edit] Nah, I found mine, thinking it was what you were after. Have you tried a Google search (www.google.co.nz) of NZ sites? Quite a few results that may help. Eg here (www.expansys.co.nz). |

| 546783 | 2007-05-04 00:48:00 | Yeah tried google for NZ sites, came up with some university sites talking about the calculator or books on using the calc. There are tons of calculator than can be programmed but they require some time to spend learning there syntax, so far only the TI-89 has a compiler than can enable you to write and compile a program written in C, its called TIGCC (tigcc.ticalc.org) if anyones intrested. They are relatively expensive seen one on Trademe auctioning for $390, but I feel its worth the investment. CHEERS, |
