547000	2007-05-09 11:55:00	The term "Pitbull" isn't a breed of dog is was just a category labeled as such that encompasses 3 breeds of dog (Those are American PBT, American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier) and then someone somewhere decided it was best to label all dogs that carried the same physical characteristics as the APBT "Pitbulls", which now puts 20+ breeds in danger of the banning also those 20+ breeds are falsely identified as such. However the only Dog that should be labeled and the true Pitbull is the APBT. I really have no idea as to which breeds of bulldog or terrier mixed together to make the APBT all any research thus far has said "varietys of bulldog's and Terrier's", however i do know that its ancestors were taken to America in the 1700's by Irish and English Immigrants, and the American breeders increased their weight and head size, how and which breed of dog was used for that, I'd like to know. Apparently its been said that any dog with "bull" in there name are somehow related. To get an idea as to which other 20+ dog breeds are falsely identified to be pitbulls there is a game that can be played to see if one can pick the true PB out of the 26. www.pitbullsontheweb.com Also if you could without identifying which picture was the correct one, let me know how many tries you took to get to the correct dog.. honesty is a must please. It only took me one try only because of deductive reasoning and pure luck, sort of like playing cluedo or that face game. There is another site where you can pick the pitbull and i was completely wrong but as for telling you how many tries it took i can't because that would defeat the purpose of this one, you will understand if you go there. members.aol.com Also i'd like to point out that the APBT has 3 nose colours, red, blue and black but no matter the nose colour they are still the same breed. 547001	2007-05-09 12:13:00	There seems to be a myth going around about dog fights, i personally believed that 2 dogs are just thrown in the ring alone and have at each other, boy was i wrong. (my assumption of a dog fight was based on video of a cock fight) From articles on the net, don't ask for addresses...lol.. seems that there are 3 humans in the ring with them also, the ref, and the 2 dogs owners. Apparently, if a dog during the fight was to bite a human, didn't matter which one it was, it was shot simply because they didn't want to have a human aggressive dog... go figure.	Narmie (12196)

547003	2007-05-09 21:28:00	Also so far from what i've gathered its a could be a cross of a mastiff and english bulldog?? and then proberbly something else in America. I have heard that they were bred from American Bulldogs also - they are the dogs used in the disney film homeward bound (or something like that). They have a similar apperance.	globe (11482)

Does that include the INNOCENT DOGS? that hasn't done anything wrong, and the INNOCENT OWNER, that has been responsible in making sure their dog is where its suppose to be and done everything the law wants them 2? Personally i believe its the owner with the anger/security issues that has ill-trained the dog to be a reflection of themselves? There are many reasons or excuses why someone would train their dog to fight other dogs, however i have mentioned that those dogs aren't trained to be human aggressive. And i agree with R2... Dog's get shot because they have caused harm to a human and there is no rehabilitation center for them to retrain their "evil mind" (sarcasm), the bad owners should be prosecuted, jailed and banned from owning a dog or any animal for life. People have to remember that trying to conform a dog to what society has deemed acceptable is totally stupid, to a degree. Some people don't conform to what society has deemed acceptable, hence why they sit in jail living a life of semi luxury, supposedly getting rehabilitated, while the dog gets killed instantly. But for humans its a matter of choice, a dog doesn't get to choose the path it takes, it learns to obey.	Narmie (12196)
