| 547599 | 2007-05-07 10:07:00 | wouldn't of Dude, please stop making that mistake. It sometimes annoys me. It's "HAVE" not of. And anyways, not meaning to discredit your theory of the 'anger gene', but I'm fairly sure that such thing does not exist. Well, not in the way you put it in anyway. The drunken angry idiot was, in addition to being an angry idiot, intoxicated by alcohol. Alcohol severely tampers your judging ability - something that idiot should have considered before going to the party AND drinking alcohol. Anger is controlled by chemicals in the brain, and that's only a simplified answer. It's blunt, I know, but it's the best I can do right now, as I am in the middle of biology assignment I need to finish before Ghost Whisperer is on. And I'm not a girl for watching Ghost Whisperer, either. :p |

| 547600 | 2007-05-07 10:14:00 | Im not a fan of drugs and alcohol, I don't see the point in it.theres much better things to do than go out and get pissed and stoned and having the police control you like a 5 year old at a toy store. that party was preventable in every way. i bet the majority of people there were youths that werent invited like the article said. And without a doubt the car driver was probably a 16 year old partyer who was drunk with 2 other pasengers with alcohol supplied to them by an adult. i heard it was a 22 year old.... probably the same people who dye there hair black and where eyemakeupthe sheer number of people who dye their hair, possibly black, and wear makeup is huge, could you be more specific, ie emo, and emo's hurt themselves not others, so i really don't know which group you refer to As usual the police get the blame. What responsibilities do the teenagers themselves AND their parents carry? what about the DRIVER. if you were having a party, or just walking down the road for that matter, irrespective of age, is it your fault if someone you had an argument/fight with decides to run you down? |

Read my otha posts I sad i dekribd it as a anga gen when its beta described as a feeling- im not a god damn scientist it wasn't a theory either :P Also sorry about the deliberate spelling I hate it when people complain about grammar and spelling if they are complaining at all it should be to my English teachers and complainers should come around here and tell me how to spell and use grammar. hold back those anger emotions now! :p  |

If you read the posts dates those were before we knew the driver was 22 and its also alot of the "emos" or i better describe them better as "emotionally depressed teenagers who cut them selves and dye there hair black and wear makeup even though they dont want to and just because there friend does and they think its cool" who cause fights at my school and cause trouble. And no about your last bit its completely wrong but the people there should of listened to there parents i bet they all get spoken to each night no need to go into it specifically but you know what i mean "no drugs"..."be careful" if they had listened itmay have been prevented probably mostly peer presure sorry if i offended anyone but im not an expert all my posts are stateing what i know i dont get an encyclopedia and look everything up. please no more arguments im going to bed now. |

| 547604 | 2007-05-07 11:40:00 | ...im sure your angry at me with this "argument" Anger would be an admission of caring .. read into that what you will :D And while we're on the topic of reading posts, maybe you should be re-reading mine Not everyone can kill or wants to kill, no matter how angry they get. Its called control and knowing how to deal with things in a constructive manner Even angry people have the ability to think of repercussions |

| 547605 | 2007-05-10 00:44:00 | As it turns out one of the victoms, who is still in a coma, is a member of the Christchurch Linux User Groups mailing list, he also lives a couple of doors down from me . I also know the owner of the house, so i'm certain to hear about this from all sides over time . As for lowering the drinking age . . etc . No, sorry, that only lowered the age people could go to pubs or leaglly drink at . . Teens and alcohol is nothing new, Teens, even preteens sometimes have always found ways to get alcohol . Perhaps looking at who is buying it for them might have more significance? Raiding the parents stash was a common one for my friends back in the days before i was old enough to by my own drug in a bottle . At 16 i was frequenting pubs, never got questioned till 3 weeks before i turned 20 i was laughing at police raiding the pub i was at . We are talking 25 years back, so what has changed? |

| 547606 | 2007-05-10 02:30:00 | My, what a curious discussion . Chrisn - if you'll forgive me, take a moment before posting, spellcheck, and use correct sentence construction . Otherwise readers get partway through your words and give up . Languages have rules such as spelling and grammar so that we can understand one another . You don't have to like it but that is the way it is, and frankly it isn't hard . Violence is a primal reaction to threat - fight or flight . Alcohol and drugs alter the perception of the threatened person so they overreact . Violence in society isn't new but the ways we can express it are . Guns and motorcars didn't exist in earlier societies . |

| 547608 | 2007-05-10 05:37:00 | It's not about your spelling mate. Most of the time you spell fine. The problem with your English is that you hardly have any full stops or commas. We call that run-on-sentences. Meaning your sentences goes on and on and on and on and on without an end. This ultimately shunts away readers. And add paragraphs, gosh....it's so hard to read poorly constructed posts. We may understand what you say, but it comes at the price of possible misunderstandings and/or ignorance. |
