548083 2007-05-09 22:00:00 You guys do know that it's cheaper to make your own long rolls/sammies and has a lot less artificial crap in it right?

Not to mention far tastier.

But of course we're all time poor and can't afford to make our own lunch in the morning.

Nah! That's not the problem .

I hate to make my own lunch at 5 AM . . and then eat it at lunch when I know exactly what's inside the bag .

I like a little mystery and some snacks that make the day a lot better .

If I go to a restaurant . . then I get to even choose what I get . . so there's always something fresh and different if I eat there .

At least . . that's the way it was when I usta work . . but I am retired now and can eat anywhere and any time I want .

Sometimes I wonder how I ever got anything done in my spare time when I worked . . . now I never have enough time for ANYTHING!

Go creative! Have a roast meal with all the trimmings the night before.
Have left overs and make a multi tier sandwich out of it.

E.G
Roast pork with Crackling, potato + pumpkin puree, apple sauce and gravy for the butter substitute.

Crunchy, salty, sweet, chewy and squishy at the same time.

Mmmm Bread and gravy as a rolled up sammy...

Shame in a way. Would have been interesting to see how the case went.

548088 2007-05-10 21:27:00 Of course it may have been nessessary to charge the employee with theft as a servent in order to sack the employee without risking getting done for wrongful dismissal........

It could also be that sharing the drinks out was either the last straw, or the excuse that the employer needed to sack the employee.

548089 2007-05-10 22:02:00 Too bad they sacked her and were being done for wrongful dismissal before going to the police.

Since Subway haven't commented, and are unlikely to, there's no evidence that there were any prior offences. An employment law specialist writing in a column in the DominionPost doubted that the Courts would accept 2 glasses of Coke as a reason for sacking based on past cases. Subway will be in damage control mode now.

I didn't take note of that point. One wonders if as well as wrongful dismisal, laying a false complaint, or whatever the charge is could be laid against the emplyer?
