547134 2007-05-05 03:15:00 They are wonderful, caring, employers, and they are keen to see their magazines providing all the information the consumers could ever want (as wrapping for the advertisments).

They bought a coffee machine for the office. (They should have rented it -- a magazine can be produced by a computer, using avatars instead of human journalists). :dogeye:

Ah, so that's why Bruce let us have avatars- he's not really human anyway and the coffee machine was just a ploy to divert us... tricky!

547136 2007-05-05 04:07:00 I'm sure there are far better conspiracy theories around than speculating on what is or is not happening at PCW, try Googling on whether Bush is a satanist, Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove, etc etc.

The time to get worried is when PC World Chat is pulled as a cost saving measure :)

I'm sure someone will start a thread to let us know it's happened :D

547138 2007-05-07 10:17:00 Greetings all, I have come to light to find a reason why my much looked forward to drivers and fresh downloads has done a runner with not a word said by the new brooms.
(not all of us can afford the luxury of broad dialup adsl)
Downright sneaky I thought, just like bill, give you a full working "thing" to get you interested then whoopsie, cut it up and sell the bits back to you.
G0 on then call me paranoid, bt why no "whats on the disk" in the mag?
"oh sorry we made a mistake" (tui ad here)
How do we apply for a refund of subscriptions?
PCW is now just a little too much like another subscription I cancelled due to format and oh dear they dont have a disc either.
copy to be sent to someone at PCW
CU all

547139 2007-05-07 10:27:00 You could help by making suggestions for useful drivers, utilities etc to go on the July disk as called for in the current issue :) Terry Porritt (14)

Stuff the July issue and all other issues. PCW is now on my "no Buy" list.

A couple of OZ mags will do me in the future.

Of course I'll have to check out ownership of the OZ ones first. No more of Unfaifax for me.

547142 2007-05-07 21:38:00 JJJJJ, why are you starting a new thread on the same subject when you already have one: . co . nz/showthread . php?t=78877" target="_blank">pressf1 . co . nz ??????

Have you tried e-mailing Chris Keall & Bruce Buckman about your concerns’???

My :2cents:

At a guess I'rd say they know as much as I do .
