My bro-in-law bought a guard dog kennel in Midway City, CA . , and hadda put the pits away as they were unhandle-able to anyone but their original owner . They might have been "powdered" though . . . where they feed the dogs black gunpowder to make them crazy . They were . Crazy, that is . The best dogs he had were a cross between a Dingo and a Basenji . They'd quietly kill you and then eat you . |

The SPCA has the right mindset and that is by respecting all breeds of dogs and will vouch to seek prosecution of any animal abusers. Putting down an animal is always a last resort for these saints. Pedigreepimp: I'm with you in opinion and stance, but not attitude. And anyone who keeps dogs merely as 'firearms' or 'bionic house defender' should have their dogs taken away from them. Dogs aren't machines that need organic fuel instead of electricity. |

Their undoings cause their dogs to attack people, and euthanased. That idiot who owned the pitbull that killed the woman recently had the dog chained up all day. Chaining up a dog deprives them of freedom and is a factor in promoting aggressiveness in dogs. But by banning them, innocent people would not be victims of pitbull attacks. Although I still don't like the fact the irresponsible owners get away from their crimes with light repercussions compared to what the dog will have to pay - dying. So what do you think? (AN Ontario resident and owner of an american pitbull terrier and breeder of Chihuahua's!) My chihuahua's are more likely to bite someone then my pitbull is. By banning them in ontario all they have done is inspire us to envent the mini-pitbull or get other breeds that are not banned! It is not the breed it is the owner. I agree there is an owner problem but banning the breed is not the answer. All breeds and owners should have the same rules and maybe there should be new rules put down but it should be for all breeds not just the pitbull. By the way my pitbull is the smartest breed I have ever owned I thought all dog's were dumb until I got my Pitbull who was fully trained even to jump through a holla hoop by 1yr old. She is now 9 yrs old. I am a responsible owner yet cause they are banned in ontario when she passes I can't legally get another pitbull and thats NOT fare at all. My pitbull will lick u to death thats about it!!!!!!!!! |

He's a friendly black chap when you go past his barking and pat his head. |
