742866 2009-01-29 00:49:00 Hi
My new Laptop came with Google Earth 4.2.0205.5730 pre installed. However, even though “3D Buildings” was checked, when I zoomed in everything was flat (tested it out on various locations round the world). I’ve downloaded and installed Ver. 4.3.7284.3916 and the same thing is happening (it’s ironic really because the last couple of “Tips of the Day” have been about how good 3D Buildings” is. What am I missing? I’m using Vista Home Premium SP 1.
Thanks

742867 2009-01-29 00:58:00 You're actually looking at cities that have 3D buildings?

Try Christchurch.

The imagery isn't that crisp.

So still no joy? Try cleaning out your temporary files with CCleaner.

Possibly. Then again I do not suppose the whole world would care.

I may or may not care unless I see it and happen to live next door and takie pics of you and hand them to the police.

742871 2009-01-29 05:55:00 Hi Wratterus

Nope- Christcurch, Wellington and London and Paris all produce "flat" images

742873 2009-01-29 09:14:00 Make sure in the 3D buildings you have ticked "photorealistic". Hope this works. golfer (6609)
742874 2009-01-29 09:27:00 You have changed your view so your looking down at an angle? Everything looks flat from directly overhead. Metla (12)
