548429 2007-05-08 23:42:00 How powerful a computer is needed to use that software as a media centre?

Would a P3 733mhz be fast enough?

548430 2007-05-08 23:53:00 For GeeXBox 1.X it should be fine to play back DVDs & DivX/XviD files. It'll probably be able to do H.264 encoded files upto a certain resolution (Maybe standard DVD res 720x480) provided they werent encoded encoded with Cabac and Deblocking unless the video-resolution is lower than 352x288 pixels..

Basically, in a nutshell, yes, provided you're not trying High-Def stuff (Doubtful) or some h.264 :)
