| 743759 | 2009-02-01 01:59:00 | Okay. My laptop just freezes on the bootup screen. It freezes before it even gets to the Windows Loading screen. I cannot even press F2 to enter setup or ESC to change boot order.:crying Ive tried booting with my WinXP disc in but it still just freezes. Any help would be muchly appreciated.. Thanks :thanks |

| 743763 | 2009-02-02 00:44:00 | Sounds like an issue ive had with my desktop computer. what happened is it would load the asus MOBO screen then when it came to the windows part it would just reboot. what the problem was that my harddrive had come loose so i reconnected it and it worked fine. I don't know if this can happen to a laptop but if it's doing moving and stuff that maybe it has become disconnected. only other advice is if F8 can select a different boot device, or perhaps repair windows which can also fix the problemif it's the same issue with a different cause. ;) |

| 743764 | 2009-02-02 04:23:00 | This sounds like a hardware issue-have you dropped the laptop recently? And go what Lupy suggested also, check the hard drive connection. It should be as simple as unscrewing the a cover on the back of the laptop, take battery out first. Blam |
