| 550386 | 2007-05-16 16:14:00 | I know I posted a note about the things we say or do on the net that last forever . . but I did a little experiment to see if it is really true . The results are not totally in, and I reserve some time and more fiddlin' around to test it a little longer, but the pre-primary answer is: Not quite . By that I mean I know I had an entry that would pop up whenever I Googled my name and then would get among others, one result of a Guest Book entry to a place my wife and I stayed on our honeymoon . It ain't coming up any more . It's gone . Missing . Lost . Not the marriage . . . the entry! So . . . MAYBE . . . just maybe there's hope for us to re-achieve anonymity again if we wait long enuff . . . . and use aliases . I still see an awful lot of stuff that I did, visited, posted-to and wrote about on the ether . Kinda creepy in a Maudlin way . Did anyone ever Google their own name just to see what the ethernet has on you? :stare: Me: I'm gonna create a few more aliases and keep on posting . |

Don't know why, and now there are some I didn't even know existed - where someone quoted something from an article I wrote and attributed it and it appeared on some aviation forum! | Beemer (6956) | ||
