2009-02-12 07:20:00 | Install Vista! Guess what: I've got a PC that is: Core 2 Duo E6300, 2GB DDR-667 RAM, 7600GT, Maxtor 250GB HDD, AND was assembled in Feb 2009. Runs XP like a crawl, but flies in Vista. I think that's something with XP: you'll have to format once in a while. I wouldn't count on XP too much... | LynX (14542) | |

2009-02-12 08:21:00 | This might work. Try downloading and installing TuneUp utilities 2009. www.tune-up.com The free trial is for 30 days so just use it to try and fix your system.

2009-02-12 10:44:00 | Have you defragged the drive lately? Even though you have 24Gb free space it may be so fragmented that it would slow the system down considerably. I fixed a laptop recently which took 17 minutes to load The Sims 1 game! Even though there was about 5Gb free space on the drive it was so fragmented the free space was chopped up into a zillion little bits throughout the drive. I think I reduced the game load time to about 3 minutes after defragging (I also increased the system partition size by another 5Gb too which helped). | Rod J (451) | |
2009-02-13 22:04:00 | yea, ive TRYED to defrag, but it doesnt get very far, maybe im just impatient, ahh well school again next week so ill leave it going for a couple days if need be just in case it IS working just VERY VERY slowly :P | Lupy501 (14571) | |
2009-02-13 22:36:00 | Do a defrag with jkdefrag in safe mode. And maybe this might help: helpdeskgeek.com
