2009-01-31 09:18:00 | Okay,here's the nice part now. After a couple of hours i started it up again,and now Windows started loading.I was able to get to desktop,but it took 10 minutes for windows to load properly and even after that,some of my startup software was not loaded and my desktop froze over. I have managed to enter in safe-mode and disable my display drivers and sound drivers,i also uninstalled the display ones.I also ran msconfig in safe mode and disabled my startup programs,all of them.The PC responded a bit better,but it was only for a little time,as any normal boot takes forever to load and doesn't let me do anything once i'm in.I managed to get connected to wireless in normal mode but once i enter any browsing program,the PC freezez. I also managed to create a backup of some of my data while in safe mode,and to my surprise it's still all there,but this is really annoying,because sometimes even in safe mode if i try to do more then one thing it freezez over. When i did a Dell Bios diagnostics check,it said it reported an issue with my hard-drive,that was when fltmgr.sys failed to load,now all the .sys files are loading and i still can't do anything on it. Now i don't have any display drivers installed,my sound won't work even though i enabled the drivers back,and my PC is booting but mostly dead. What on earth could this possibly be? This laptop is my lifeline and i can't deal without it.

2009-01-31 10:30:00 | Try this in safe mode since it appears to be slightly faster - click the start orb, type event , event viewer will appear up the top, click it to open ( may take a min or so) Click on the arrow next to windows logs - expand them - look at the Application and system logs, see if there are any repeated errors there - if there are double click to expand them - post back what they say. Look carefully in the System logs - look to see if theres any error relating to "DISK".

2009-01-31 11:15:00 | If its a temp folder delete it (if there's nothing in it) and recreate it Or if there's folder in it. copy them to another folder, then delete the temp folder, recreate it then copy the folders back You can tick these then tick fix checked Close browsers O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Persistence] C:\Windows\system32\igfxpers.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [msnmsgr] "C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe" /background O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Messenger (Yahoo!)] "C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe" -quiet O13 - Gopher Prefix: I would disable / uninstall windows defender and use something else

2009-01-31 11:16:00 | Sorry for the double post,but i checked the event viewer,and i have repeated errors in System under NTFS. The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume \Device\HarddiskVolume1. I also have some Distributed Com errors for different registry parameters: DCOM got error "1068" attempting to start the service fdPHost with arguments "" in order to run the server: {145B4335-FE2A-4927-A040-7C35AD3180EF} errors under "atapi": The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort1. And service controll manager,like this: The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependency service or group failed to start.

2009-01-31 11:21:00 | Fixed those things in HJT,still getting the temp folder corrupt error. The temp folder is not empty,and i emptied my temporary internet files and whatever else with Ccleaner and Revo Uninstaller. EDIT - I emptied and deleted the temp folder from windows and moved back all the files in the new one,and the error is back within 2 minutes.

2009-01-31 11:33:00 | It sounds like one of the folders(or file/s in one of these folders) in the temp folder is corrupted then WHAT are the names of the folders/files in this temp folder?? They may belong to programs that have been installed
Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
2009-01-31 11:37:00 | I have absolutely NO folders in my temp folder. Only several .tmp files and i can't save a screenshot to show you. Some of the files are like coinlog,MpCmdRun,TMP00000005...,WER3D4F.tmp.hdmp,t hen i have some like that ending in .appcompat and .version and two .sqm files.
Luppi (12974) | ||
2009-01-31 11:38:00 | Hmm if theyre only tmp files, can you delete them?? It shouldnt affect anything Got a spare IDE cable?? try another one for that IDE error That DCOM error, if that appeared when you booted into safe mode, that can happen..It probably cant run in safe mode.. Delete /clear all the errors under system /application in event viewer then reboot. See what errors come up then The sqm files belong to messenger. Shouldnt hurt to delete them they'll probably come back
