549398 2008-05-09 22:45:00 It is, I just dug this thread up instead of creating another one. Will be too busy scoffing faces tomorrow... rob_on_guitar (4196)
549399 2008-05-10 02:44:00 pctek;
There is a guy in Blenheim,who did the right thing.He bought his wife a brand new.....wait for it.....chainsaw !

A friend of mine, blonde, slim, stylish, told me she got a chainsaw for her birthday one year.
She uses it too, she was up some very high Macrocarpas topping them. She thinks her chainsaw is great.

Yes it was indeed the 11th.

And by now, that was yesterday - just.
So what did those of you lucky enough to still have mothers, DO for Mothers' Day?

Not all of us had that choice.
Even though it's unthinkable when you're a kid, mothers do die by the time you're putting on the years yourself...
And then - if you're like me - you're inclined to envy those who still have the chance to show your appreciation.

549402 2008-05-11 16:24:00 I made the Mrs a DVD of our baby so far of pic and video, a photo frame with baby in it and some bath salts/soaps and perfume.

For my mum we drove over to Katikati and spent the day with her, gave her a dvd too and photos,chocs and wine.

Not so much envy (although I must admit to a little bit) but more happy and sad.

Happy that I have many great memories, sad that Mum is no longer here so I can show her my indebtedness and gratitude.:wub

But at least SWMBO was treated to a daughters made luncheon.:)

Just a quiet dinner and a few vouchers to her favourite shops for her to use :D
