| 743704 | 2009-01-31 18:35:00 | Have been given a Vista Home Premium computer to have a play with and to see if I can resolve a long running issue. Everything works fine, except for one thing... when you restart the computer, it goes to BIOS messages, then the keyboard lights flash [all normal so far], then the screen colour changes to another shade of black. Then nothing. Light on mouse is working, Num Lock on keyboard will not bring up any lights, and power button shuts off the computer instantaneously (rather than the 6 second wait) Any ideas? |

| 743708 | 2009-02-01 03:08:00 | Try doing a repir on the Vista Start up- you will need a Vista DVD - then Follow the instructions from This site (www.bleepingcomputer.com) - Easier than typing it here - Lazy eh! If you dont have a Vista DVD - you can download the boot portion that will allow you to perform the repair from Here (neosmart.net) ( all legal as well) it requires a torrent program to download. Edit: If you need the ISO file & get stuck for downloading ( no torrent program) - just yell and I'll PM you with details to get it from one of my servers - 120Mb |
