745133 2009-02-05 02:56:00 A minor problem but annoying. Everytime the computer is rebooted, it detects the printer as new and wants to start the hardware wizard to install drivers. I let it do this once but it makes no difference next time it reboots.

Windows XP OS.

Any ideas?

745134 2009-02-05 02:59:00 Did you pull the USB cable out (If its USB), when you installed the drivers?

Then connect it then turn the power to the printer on (when it said to)?

745135 2009-02-05 18:52:00 The printer was installed a couple of years ago but the problem has arisen in the last few months. user (1404)
745136 2009-02-05 20:02:00 I would unplug the USB cable then uninstall the printer.

Reboot and reinstall the driver and insert the USB cable when asked during installation.

This assumes it is a USB printer.
