744938 2009-02-05 00:14:00 Hi all

have just lost my 4GB rundisk Flash drive and now got a reason to get a new one :)

but what i've noticed was that the Rundisk one i had was quite slow when copying and transferring files - hence was wondering what brand/size u've found to be a fast one? -

don't mind paying a bit more for quality stuff - thks!

744939 2009-02-05 00:26:00 I had a 4GB Rundisk - it was the slowest piece of **** I'd ever used! Thankfully I wired some front USB ports wrong and blew it up, got an 8GB Apacer, so much faster in all areas, and a good warranty.

Sandisk and Corsair are also good brands.

Something like that would be ideal. 8GB is about $60.

I could sell you an 8GB Apacer for $55 + freight. :p

744941 2009-02-05 00:48:00 Any USB flash drive that supports ReadyBoost should be pretty fast. CYaBro (73)

How slow? My old MP3 player took blooming ages (about 20 minutes :horrified) to copy ~400MB. (I can do GB's in less time.)

744943 2009-02-05 01:32:00 very very slowwwwwwww.... sometimes it makes me thinks the PC has crashed cause nothing is happening - anyone with ADATA brand - they look alright n half the price of the Corsair which looks like the fastest one out there. cajetan (8513)
744944 2009-02-05 02:43:00 Corsair voyager.....or GT's SolMiester (139)
744945 2009-02-05 02:46:00 The Ducati (Sandisk), I won in here is pretty fast.

Only prob is, you cant use it, if you want to boot from it. Its not bootable (So, Sandisk say)
