744684 2009-02-03 20:44:00 I have never archived as I liked keeping alot handy in Outlook. Now it looks like it is getting full so I need to. If it automatically achives and I accept, the emails go to a file which I see says; Archive Office Data File - 33,745KB - .pst. But you cant open it, says it is part of operating system and I dont seem to have a program to open it. So how do you find the old emails if you want them? Being smart I thought maybe I would manually archive so I set up a folder in My Documents ( easier to get to ) and you can manually archive easy and it took them to this folder but ends up with the same type of file as above .pst which you cant open? Why cant you open or is there another way to maunally archive so you can open old emails later? Cheers bruciebear (1478)

744686 2009-02-03 21:11:00 In Outlook go to File - Open - Outlook Data File and point it to the PST file you want to open.
It will then be added to your list of folders on the left of the screen below your Personal Folders.
