| 551254 | 2007-05-20 00:26:00 | A Russian man, who wanted to escape legal persecution, pretended to be an American citizen who ventured to travel across Russia without money and documents to set a new Guinness Record . In order to look like an American man, the swindler put on a doo-rag and arranged pigtails . Russian journalists believed his stories and sincerely helped him in spite of his clumsy English and Russian roots . Ya gotta see this guy's picture ( . pravda . ru/society/stories/18-05-2007/91686-russian_man_american-0" target="_blank">english . pravda . ru) . . and then compare it to mine in the left corner of this post . . . and then tell me he looks like me! He'll be the guy in the yellow outfit with the DOO-RAG on . What in the world is a DOO-RAG anyway? Where can I buy one? :stare: Anybody got a guess what a professor of philology does for a living? I've got a blank here . |

| 551258 | 2007-05-20 03:34:00 | A philologist is a student of languages, Joe. Read George Borrow's books Lavengro and The Romany Rye, for a semifictional account of the life of one, in the early 19th century. A\It's a more socially useful study than economics, homeopathy, irdidology, and other such ideologies. | Graham L (2) | ||
