I also see in the letter i got that sky are going to have another attempt at reorganising the skywatch magazine to fit all the channels in. Also a possible crime and investigation channel is being launched later this year along with a sky greats channel yip thats right a repeat channel of old movies, Oh and did i mention a sky sports highlights channel like we don't have enough sport already. |

| 551648 | 2007-05-28 07:28:00 | Good news for sky tv subscribers wanting freeview. In the link im about to post theirs a paragraph that says sky tv subscribers are able to watch the freeview channels on skys decoders however there has been a delay, So don't all rush out and buy a freeview kit yet for those of you wanting freeview channels as well as the v8 supercar channel. I knew sky had an ace up their sleeve. www.stuff.co.nz No secret John Fellet said this in the Herald a month or so ago. That they would simply tune into the Freeview stuff as it is FTA. What will be interesting is how they choose to map the channels. If TVNZ will remain on channels 1 and 2 on the remote and where will they put the special events such as the Supercars which is being promoted as being on "Freeview channel 20" We might see say channels 501-520 allocated to "freeview" Also a new provider will be using the Freeview stuff off D1 as well.. |

Orcsat As for Sky spending $55 million to convert their studios to tapeless. Well we know what the last 3 Sky price increases paid for.. |

Sky cant keep promises so you just have to grin and bear it until the day arrives. | Hitech (9024) | ||

Sky have nothing to do with the delays in launching Optus D1 that is beyond their control they are are a customer of Optus. As for their price increases you can count on them near Christmas and then another one just before the Rugby Test match season starts. They also make the same pathetic excuses for the increase each time. Personally I wouldn't mind ditching all the kids channels for a $5 discount..and all the music ones could go as well for another $5 |
