552061 2007-05-24 08:00:00 I have just come back from Scotland and bought 3 new SanDisk Ultra II, Compact Flash Card, 4GB for my canon 350D. over here they cost roughly $110 in the uk i got them for just under $50 each.
Stuff is cheaper, but thats because you have more choice, either from buying online uk or online europe.

SanDisk cards are a bad example, there are so many fakes around at all sorts of prices. £35 seems a common UK price which isn't that much cheaper than NZ.
Maybe you should check one of the sites showing how to spot the fakes.

Wonder whether you go on visits to Greece and Germany.

Are you confused about where you are and what currency you are using?

The currency has changed here to the point where it gets dopey.

Price of item = $19.99 advertised. I walk in and buy item for cash and will not get 1 cent change. We do not have 1c 2c 5c any more.

I have in my possesion a half farthing from the 1800s. And I do not want to sell.

As a programmer in COBOL I realise many a mickle makes a muckle.

So if you have 0.0001 cents multiplied by 1,000,000?
To be fair sweepo, you could say I am confused ,full stop.

We can't all be perfect pedants, now can we?
Anyway, went in Curries a popular shop for computer stuff,a 1 gig usb flash drive was $49.Not that cheap I thought.8 gig was $164.

Not counting pennies S,just keeping you all informed about what is happening in England.
I have the 4 gig'er and all is well.
My hol is in Hayfield Derbshire and it does tend to rain here.

552065 2007-05-24 22:29:00 Hi C. Know the place. Have a brother lives in Manchester and about 25 years ago went back to visit him. During the visit I attended a three-day woodturning course at Millers Dale, just east of Buxton - not far from Hayfield. The turners school and very extensive shop still advertises and is apparently still going well and worth a visit if you can. You are in some classic countryside there - including Dove Holes and Buxton itself. Enjoy. Scouse (83)

Definatley not a fake, been doing this to long to know the difference and from where i bought it, it would be commercial suicide if they did.
And it didn't cost 35 pounds, it was 18 pounds for each.
But again it jut because they have more choice and cost less to ship things over, unlike here.

552067 2007-05-25 02:26:00 You may have got a real bargain, that seems to be the price for 2GB cards. Care to let on where you got them? PaulD (232)
