551566 2007-05-22 12:52:00 Traditionally this has been very true although a few of there boards have shown some solid overclocks. But honestly theres no reason to buy an Intel board! There are cheaper, better performing more feature rich boards to be had.
Hehe, I'm trying to win a cheap auction for a DG965WH and an E6600. But of course, people are bidding against me as well.

I just hope they let the poor win for once! :p

Pretty cheap actually, the cheapest on pricespy you get around $567.41 for those two.
But $465 for now.

551568 2007-05-23 12:38:00 I have seen around the net that you can't overclock with Intel boards. Is that true? I was planning to get a DG965WHMKR.....

The DG965DFEKR I had a week or 2 ago certainly can't.... (unless there's a special key combination to unlock it or something, the manual didn't mention it)

qazwsxokmijn, I think I'll be nice and not bid against you on this one :p It looks like it could be a good deal

551569 2007-05-23 20:45:00 Hehe, I AM leading that auction....for now anyway. I am Philip. :p

It is cheap, but the thing is I've read that the DG965WH only takes 1.8V RAMs, and I'm not sure if my Auspis RAM is 1.9v or 1.8v.

So I might sell that for $180 or so then buy a Gigabyte GA-965P-S3. So I can overclock the E6600 too, as the Intel motherboard won't support overclocking....

And cheers, George! :D
