744638 2009-02-03 19:24:00 I have a 4 port belkin router. It is joint wirelss and ADSL (?).
I just use it for internet. No network.

Is there any reason to use the wireless connection? Is it ant better or faster than the plug in one?

744639 2009-02-03 19:27:00 No. And if you dont secure it, other people will use it

The only thing good about it, is you dont need wires

No point using it anyway, unless other people are networked to it wirelessly

Its for inside a house, it doesnt work by itself, if you want to connect to the net (you would still need ethernet to get on the net). Its not wireless BB

744640 2009-02-03 21:18:00 Wireless is great if you have a laptop and want to surf the net around your house or you can't run cables to other PC's etc. However if you have a PC and are using the Belkin via a cable, then log into the Belkin and disable the Wireless AP so no one can access it at all!
