| 744575 | 2009-02-03 18:57:00 | Seagate 750 SATA drive. Hums away nicely when powered up, but no longer showing up in BIOS or Windows. Since it stopped showing up in windows I tried hooking it up via USB and it's a no show there either. Any suggestions other than promote it to the stack of totally stuffed drives? Recovery of data would be great but hard to recover when the PC can't see it:-( |

| 744577 | 2009-02-03 20:18:00 | Don't despair! Sounds like yours will be fixable with a firmware update available from Seagate. Data will not be affected. Google 'seagate hdd problem' and you will find plenty of info. Perhaps start here to identify whether your drive is one of the affected ones seagate.custkb.com |
