744563 2009-02-03 19:51:00 Does it have an OS.

744564 2009-02-03 20:23:00 It's not worth much considering the cost of what you would need to add to it (HDD, OS, monitor etc). Personally, I would look on Trademe - there are lots of this type of machine taken out of businesses and they have XP and HDDs and even LCD monitors for a very few hundred dollars. linw (53)
744565 2009-02-03 20:42:00 Being an HP it will allmost certainly have a Win COA (Windows license sticker)
Pent D old tech CPU, but still good enough for a basic workstation
Maybe $200-$300 max ??

744567 2009-02-03 21:10:00 I'd say around $100. GR8Metal (14133)
744568 2009-02-03 23:54:00 Sorry, didn't read the question properly.
I would dismantle it & sell the bits on trade me.
If you have a look on there you will see what they are selling for.
Then you can decide if it is worth the effort.

744569 2009-02-04 01:22:00 No offense here Myth, but my friends know of computer places in palmerston north gives away free old systems (probably better than yours) for free... so personally I think the best way to make it worth more is to sell it for parts. powerover (12121)

744571 2009-02-04 21:23:00 Pentium D? Man, you can save the heating bills with that!

Actually, I doubt whether it's possible to install a PD in small form factors, because that thing generates more heat than AMD counterparts (which generate equal processing power at a lower frequency), and even Pentium 4's.

But I'd pay $300? I'm not so sure about PC markets nowadays. Everything develops so fast!
