2007-05-25 04:27:00 | It seems that emails sent from ihug sometimes aren't getting through, and it seems to be worse on ihug to ihug emails. There is no problem with either of the two other email accounts (both Gmail). Anyone else having this problem? | pcuser42 (130) | |
2007-05-25 04:32:00 | How long has this been happening? Has it just been say... this week? Cause I heard the people from many ISP's were having email troubles about 2 days ago | mejobloggs (264) | |
2007-05-25 05:25:00 | It's been happening for a long time now IIRC (it's Dad's email addy). | pcuser42 (130) | |
2007-05-25 06:08:00 | Been happening to me too for months. I can get emails delivered anywhere between immediately to 7 days later. It is more common for them to turn up about 2 hours after they have been sent. I have complained to Ihug about this many times, and on Wednesday night sent off an email to them asking for an explanation or I will be changing ISPs. Yet to get a reply. | Jen (38) | |
2007-05-25 06:11:00 | Oh well, when everyone has Vista, with its new features and efficiency, email will arrive before it was sent, and noone will have anything to complain about. | Graham L (2) | |
2007-05-25 11:02:00 | We emailed ihug, and they didn't get the email. :groan: | pcuser42 (130) | |

2007-05-25 11:16:00 | Simple Ihug's wonderfull spam filter eats incoming and outgoing emails. With no option of being able to switch it off. You just have to put up with it as they won't do anything.

2007-05-25 19:56:00 | lol speaking of delayed email, I sent abuse @ ihug an email with a log, for them to check out. (from Comodo). This is from 22/4. I didnt get a reply until 23/5! And I dont know who the blind one is. BUT, whoever, received / picked up my email, obviously cant read. Their reply was we can not find the ip (which is definitely in the log, as we dont have the time and the date (which is also in the log). If you can provide the time and date it will be fruitful for our investigation. So, I replied back with exactly the same log I posted from April, noting what the date and time looked like and the source ip and my ip. And the port etc. I haven't received a reply yet. So, I dont know if the email, or the person that picked up my email is/was delayed (like 20 yrs behind)!

2007-05-25 20:55:00 | its been ongoing for about 7months!! I started suspecting problems last November-ish. the classic was an email advising of goods being dispatched from the USA arriving before the email informing me of dispatch!!! (12 days email delivery!). And this is not the only one!! * 3-4 hours delays have been common. * I have no control of spam filtering * Their inbox capacity is far too small in this day of ever growing attachments. * it is not only ihug to ihug emails, but to external isp's as well gmail seems to be the most practical solution for me at this stage. I would have walked with my feet a while ago, but my partner uses her ihug email for business, so we are staying in the short term... It is time there were some honest answers from ihug to their customers, about their service delivery. Come on ihug - what the hell is happening - when is service going to improve? When are we the customer, going to get decent service again?? Or is ihug on the slippery slope, and have decided that the customer does not matter!!!
