The trucks and buildings still say Peter Baker Transport) Oldferix, the proud owner of Dell's first attempt at shipping you your laptop is probably the guy who holds my computers up for "inspection" for a week...... :D |

They then went into Couriers & formed PBT Couriers. Cannot speak for them I do know that when we sent goods South, if they were held up at the Desert Road (Snow), that they would ring us to say so , & would ring the customer on our behalf & apologise. | 552971 | 2007-05-28 10:22:00 | Doesn't just happen to private individuals.... couple of years ago Noel Leeming sent my under guarantee 29" Samsung tv back to Auckland for servicing (long story) and on the way back, having been repaired, it got lost. Eventually NL invited me in to their local shop to select a similarly priced tv from their range...:2cents: | Scouse (83) | ||
| 552972 | 2007-05-28 10:30:00 | I work for a company that uses PBT couriers. They are terrible! We have had so many 'lost' packages thru them that it's sayonara to PBT. I guess pay peanuts get monkeys with long wheel base vans. |

| 552973 | 2007-05-28 18:22:00 | Strange as it may seem, I have no complaints about any Courier company. I think they are all excellent. But I wish those making a delivery to me would leave it in the mail box or on the door step if I'm not home. I hate getting a card telling me to phone up and tell them when I'll be home. |

We're on the start of the Courierpost run here (i.e. the courier shows up sometime between 6-7am). Usually, we leave a sign on the front door to the effect of "knock loudly and someone will get out of bed to answer the door". |

I hate getting a card telling me to phone up and tell them when I'll be home. Really? How would you have felt if your brand new snazzy PC had been left on the doorstep. Anyway I have another whinge. Early this month I sent some RAM to a guy in Hamilton. Never arrived. This was by NZPost parcel post. From our local 4Square which is the local Post Depot. Put in claim and rang to see how it was progressing yesterday. Nice customer service guy checks and tells me they are insisting on a proof of posting, that is a tracking ticket. I didn't have one as it was prepaid and the local 4 square don't have the facility to print a $0 tracking ticket. Never been a problem before - I have successfully claimed the same type of parcel before. This time they get rather snotty about it and tell me because of this the $155 claim is too high for this method of posting. Never mind Parcel Post is up to $250. After much arguing they have said I have to get a note from the staff at the shop to say I really did post it there. They won't contact them, I have to chase it up. |
