Having seen it in action I would say that a device using a proximity sensor does work much better than voice recognition software. Very interesting clip to watch, although I think that particular concept has a way to go before it becomes a successfully marketed idea.

i wonder how well that concept works in the dark? perhaps they should use an infra red camera....
