745951 2009-02-08 03:33:00 Paragon or the old Ghost. pctek (84)
745952 2009-02-08 04:42:00 I use Acronis 11 and find it to be 100% reliable.

I also have Norton 12 which works but is bloated and costs twice as much.
The old Ghost has problems with USB and Sata drives.
Paragon is good, but expensive.

I have Acronis True Image 9, but never had to restore yet (lucky maybe !). Wanted to update to TI 11 last year but the local distributers say that another Acronis product has superseded it. Was going to check out and probably buy that but got sidetracked.

Acronis has got a very good reputation. Ghost 2003 was the last Ghost that had the same good name, when I last did research on the subject.

745956 2009-02-08 18:00:00 Ghost was a great program when it was New Zealand owned, but once Norton/Symantec purchased it it went downhill fast from there like almost everything else Norton has aquired. Bantu (52)
745957 2009-02-08 20:28:00 For something free, DriveImageXML is excellent for creating hot images...
Acronis would be the best paid one

PartImage if you want a free one from a Bootable Linux distro (Image any PC without pulling out the hardware)
