553858 2007-05-28 06:14:00 This links to a transcript (www.diy-street.com) of an apparently real conversation between a tech and Sonys help.
Anyone ever experienced anything like this? or is it fake?

553859 2007-05-28 07:20:00 Hmmm.....I assume a transcript is "word for word"? Verbatim?

In which case, how did Travis know the Supervisor's name was Peter? He introduced himself as the supervisor...

Anyway, I'm on my 3rd red wine, so anything's possible! :D

553860 2007-05-28 07:24:00 Such transcripts are often fictional and intended to be satires of real life. However, the real life often is so bad that it can't be satirized. Graham L (2)
553861 2007-05-28 07:28:00 Sounds like the email I sent to Ihug.

They didnt know the diff between an ip / the date and the time.

553862 2007-05-28 07:36:00 My dad had a similar issue when he rang telecom trying to sort out not being able to access his email when he got broadband, eventually after calling tech guy from his work who downloaded FF, the problem was solved. Telecom phone help was no use. winmacguy (3367)

553866 2007-05-28 09:58:00 I believe it because I had an almost identical conversation with Compaq via their online chat help thingy.
For a laptop.

They also did not have a driver (not for a modem), not that I cared especially I just wanted to know the MB model.

Same sort of moronic lets go round in circles repeating ourselves pointlessness.

Went away and eventually found what I wanted.
