The software is provided free and the creators actually let it go onto the torrents... but when it comes to downloading something like Windows Vista then THAT is illegal. And PedalSlammer don't try to hide the fact that you are a pirate and should get caught :groan: |

2007-06-01 22:27:00 | I guess there is a difference between cracking software and just making it available to download with a key - thank you roddy_boy for bringing this to my attention. However I can't understand the waste of talent. If the pirate put the same amount of effort into developing their own product as they do ripping someone else's, who knows what interesting products we might have! I guess it comes down to mindset - creative (developer) versus destructive (pirate)... :groan:

2007-06-02 01:14:00 | Haha biggest load of bull**** ever. Go ahead, try crack some software. Let me know when you've done it.Yeah. Buch of bull****. I suggest try hacking Vista (Hacky Hacky REMEMBER?) Vista is not as easy to hack as you think. The first released version must use cracks to bypass it. But over the months of improving the crack, and it finally did, direct out of box and working out perfectly with a little modification. And does any NZders managed to crack it? No. Why do pirates are so nasty to the businesses? Because the businesses being an ass hole for selling their products for $$$$$ and some of them didn't work well. And why pirates deserve some respect from the community? Because they put their effort and skills sharing the softwares, apps, etc. around. making the third world, or poor people have a to have that software or for people to have a try first whether is worth while to pay for or not. I mean I don't mind giving money to businesses. But businesses are the one being an a** hole for not fixing the patch, etc. etc. Ignoring customer which I hate the most like ATARI and EA. I don't pay for Norton Ant-Virus or System Works. But I did pay for only a certain software. i.e. Diskeeper is worth paying, BitDefender(Cheap and almost everyone can afford it, plus it was a great ant-virus software $50 for two years.), Registry Mechanic etc. :horrified Me Pirate? Too bad, I did pay for those software. :groan: Blame the third world mate. Not me, I did pay the software that I like it and games too. What about other ones? I deleted it.

2007-06-02 03:27:00 | Why do pirates are so nasty to the businesses? Because the businesses being an ass hole for selling their products for $$$$$ and some of them didn't work well. So I take it you have never had millions of $$$ of your own money invested in the development of a software application? And yes even for small software projects it can take up to $1,000,000 to develop them to a marketable level. Mean while the whole time your developing the software you are spending rather than earning any money, so I offer the world's smallest violin to all of those software pirates out there. Note: I am not a software developer and have never invested any money for software development.

2007-06-02 03:53:00 | what about china? i hear that ms was trying to sell vista at its standard price, ie over a months average wage. sure enough MS sales didn't exactly soar, but pirate $1 copies sure did. the problem there is that if MS sold at a reasonable price there, they would have to elsewhere to prevent parallel importing where people spend up in china then, go back home and sell the products well below normal price and still make an appreciable profit

2007-06-02 04:04:00 | oh and here's a thought about nocd cracks: are they necessarily illegal? i mean, i use them myself for games i've paid for simply to save me the trouble of digging up the cd/dvd and putting it in the drive. they do make life alot easier and aren't always a pirate's tool. so "crackers" aren't necessarily a waste of talent in that respect
