746242 2009-02-09 19:36:00 AFAIK you shouldnt delete $hf_mig$ as it contains Windows Update information, however all the $NtUninstallKB***$ folders in c:\Windows are fine to delete :) Chilling_Silence (9)
746243 2009-02-09 19:39:00 I haven't deleted the actual folder, just the folders in it. :) pcuser42 (130)
746244 2009-02-09 20:51:00 Add/Remove Programs. WIndows Components. Take out everything she doesn't need.
And
3rd party apps are often smaller.
Adobe vs Foxit for instance.
WMP vs VLC.
IMGBurn vs Nero.
And so on.
Get all small apps, ditch the big ones.

746246 2009-02-10 03:10:00 I don't think it does. Even though it's more thorough than Windows Disk Cleanup, it still doesn't get everything. pcuser42 (130)
746247 2009-02-10 03:44:00 Okey dokey:D Blam (54)
746248 2009-02-10 06:23:00 Thats probably all you can do then, short of getting a bigger flash drive or using a different O/S. pctek (84)
746249 2009-02-10 06:24:00 I may mod in a flash drive into the eee when I see her Blam (54)
746250 2009-02-10 09:13:00 Why not just an 8GB SDHC card, they're super-cheap and sit completely flush with the case so if you're real clever about how / when you insert it, she'll never know! ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
746251 2009-02-10 09:20:00 She already has a 16gb card plugged in. Blam (54)
