| 555058 | 2007-06-01 10:49:00 | I have noticed that Warez forums are still alive and active today. But if they are so illegal why are they still Alive...? And how would you know they are still around then, hmmm???? And murder and theft are illegal. haven't noticed any signs of those crimes becoming extinct. |

And if you havn't notice, there is plenty out there. See the links posted? huh, the Anti-Piracy lost again. Man, the pirate bay Swedish guy rocks. |

Plus the pirates work hard for it, so giving a donation of $ will save you $$. Cops? Oh well, that is your own case how to tackle that. Edonkey got sued for nothing, but LimeWire managed to counter sue back the RIAA and LimeWire is still legal. Which are the fools? Probably the Anti-Piracy group of people. It's not easy to defeat Anti-RIAA groups unless everyone is so rich that no thief and pirates in the world. |

| 555066 | 2007-06-01 15:35:00 | ok, i think you all overreated a bit. what exactly is wrong with discussing the future of illegal sites and possible methods of shutting them down, or why that is nearly impossible? i thought it could be an interesting discussion, which i'm sure is the purpose of a forum, is it not? too late now i guess. he didn't even post any links. if he did of course have a go, but to not be allowed to discuss issues is censorship (which is unjustified in the rules of this forum, as no-one is advocating nor advertising warez sites) as for laws regarding said sites, asfaik it's not the "posession" of illegal software but the use, as simply storing data is not breaching any EULA terms. although i will concede creating the crack in the first place is surely illegal. so i'm sure alot of sites get off on technicalities. |

| 555067 | 2007-06-01 16:41:00 | Interesting thought from you here: as for laws regarding said sites, asfaik it's not the "posession" of illegal software but the use, as simply storing data is not breaching any EULA terms . although i will concede creating the crack in the first place is surely illegal . so i'm sure alot of sites get off on technicalities . Hmmm . . . I remember reading somewhere that it is considered prima facia evidence of illegal activities to have a document shredder in your system too . . . like the shredder in Spybot for instance . Now . . . this MIGHT just be a US anti-terrorist thing, but that is pretty far fetched as I see it . The NIS seems to think that if you have this sort of device, then you are doing SOMETHING illegal and therefor guilty of SOMETHING . On the warez part . . . . I have a technical (maybe just mental perception-wise) problem separating warez from P2P and torrents too . . . . I guess it's just me, but aren't these two also on the shady side of illegal? I think the question in the back of maybe someone's mind is: "Is/are there any redeeming qualities to these sites"? Now, that would be an interesting conversation . <the question(s) proffered here are not an opinion nor a licensing of or for the use of illegal sites/activities thereof, nor the admittance of use by the postee nor the readers of the posted question/statements> |
