It had a normal size screen but really big font, big letters on the keys, big keys, really easy to find tools etc. I can't remember the brand but can ask. She ended up trading it in for an ordinairy phone because in their attempt to keep it really simple it had was very limited in options - but sounds like this would be perfect for what you are looking for. That would be really good if you can find it. Thanks |

You have young fingers and eyes, and even if those phones look "old fashioned" to you, they are too small, and the buttons are far too small. Many older people (and some young ones, too) have poor eyesight. many have arthritic fingers. " Cute" phones aren't practical. The need is for buttons which can be pressed one at a time, with clear markings which can be seen, and a screen which can be read. Games, PXT, email, G3,downloadable movies, etc, are not wanted or needed. JUST A PHONE WHICH CAN BE USED. As a "phone".:( You try and find one then. They aren't all that common. |

| 554637 | 2007-06-01 02:25:00 | These are Nokia phones as used by members of the blind foundation, they also have Talks Software in them. Nokia models 6630,6680,5500,N70,N73,N80,N91 and E50 these use the Vodaphone network. You can view these at www.vodaphone.co.nz and the Talks Software you can view at www.nuance.com/talks Trevor :) |

| 554638 | 2007-06-01 03:44:00 | I would recommend 6630,6680,N70,N73,N80,N91 to start with as they are too complciated for elderly to use Besides Nokia 6630,6680,N70 operating system is reasonably slow/ N80 is a bit over the top.I doubt elderly would use wifi.lol N91 is rather chunky Either 5500 E50 is ok You could perhaps try Nokia 6070 |
