554095 2007-05-29 11:14:00 Fair enough.

I am more worried about the Goverment who is now pushing KiwiBank and making employers pay as well. As I will be 65 years old this year should I join?

I think that if your aged 65 and haven't got your retirement savings sorted out that you might be cutting it a wee bit tooo late. Incidently as Jen has pointed out, Kiwibank and KiwiSaver are two different things. Sounds like your thinking of the KiwiSaver, Sweep.

Excuse me. I plan on working unlike some people who ask for jobs here. Along with the fact I have worked out my retirement as you put it. You know me and you also know for a fact what I decide to do. Go get your $1020 for KiwiSaver this in the first year.

If you think I did not notice then feel free to debate.

BTW. What is "tooo late"?

Thank you for your post.

554097 2007-05-29 13:59:00 I'm with kiwibank, however I have yet to receive a legit e-mail from ANY bank requesting account updates, statements yes.
They just dont do account maintenance like that, how many times do people have to be told!

Precisley. So why does Winmacguy have to post here to warn what gives?

I am aware of that.

You might be also aware that I am not yet 65.

Thank you for the information.

However, there's a lifesaver for types like you...

I prefer to keep it secret. Suffer!

I put the post there because I was reading about it yesterday on the Australian IT news website and figured it was relevant to to any Kiwis who banked with Kiwibank.

Sorry sweep, I missed that part of your post (by about 1 year by the looks of things.) The too late bit would be if you hadn't put any money aside for your retirement yet and were only just deciding too although obviously you have that well taken care of.

554102 2007-05-29 19:55:00 My wife received that KiwiBank - maybe KiwiSaver - phising email yesterday - it was deleted without being opened. I thought of opening it and posting the contents here but was not sure if any nasties would pop out when it was opened. Strommer (42)

I think that was the one where they were giving $1500 for customers who read there blurb.

Never mind, you might win lotto to make up for it.
