746784 2009-02-11 07:16:00 Have had the Picasa program for some time now on a couple of different windows operating systems neither seem to save all of the changes made on my photos namely the "sharpen" function under effects, my friend seems to have similar problems.
Each time i go back to view the photo after the sharpening has been done it is unsharpened again.
I am running vista ultimate.
Also can someone tell me if picasa fully supports mov. files from my digital camera as i can view video from my library ok but when i go to make a movie / slideshow it seems it doesn't support this type of file like windows movie maker.
Your suggestions would be appreciated.

746785 2009-02-11 10:59:00 My Picasa (v 3.1) seems fine with saving the sharpens. I presume you are re-viewing with Picasa not another viewer? Update Picasa if it is not the latest.

No, I can't get Picasa to deal with those pesky mov files. I use a good free converter (Quick Media Converter) to get them into mpg format.

746787 2009-02-14 08:33:00 But what version? (Help/About Picasa will tell you). After my last post I remembered I had the same sharpen no save but it was a long time ago.

Picasa should be checking for updates, anyway, so if yours is recent, it is a puzzle how it could be messing up.

Edit:- go here picasa.google.com

746788 2009-02-14 18:26:00 I had a default that went to the original pixs and tried to tell me that it was the changed or re-focused or whatever version, when it was not .

Picasa saves all the originals so you never have to worry about those archives .

It somehow cured itself - maybe an update . But I never had that problem again .

BTW: Get the newest version Picasa 3 (http://picasa . google . com/) .
