746746 2009-02-11 06:14:00 Hey all,

While I was at work, my mrs seen an ad on TV for a 2000 Gig External drive for the lowest price ever ($250ish she reckons). The thing is, she didn't watch and see where to buy them from or who makes the drive or whos selling them lol!!
Has anybody else seen this ad?? Anybody know whos selling them for this price in NZ???

Cheers.

746747 2009-02-11 06:23:00 Id say she may have gotten the price wrong ???? While there are 2TB external storage devices, they generally will have 2 x 1 TB drives Some may have the WD 2TB drive. Even on price Spy listings (www.pricespy.co.nz) the lowest price is $506.99 wainuitech (129)

746750 2009-02-11 09:15:00 She's pretty adamant that it was for a 2000 Gigabyte Hard Drive, White in colour. I assume that the White thing she was talking about was an external inclosure. Thats all the info she could give me lol. springa886 (10558)
746751 2009-02-11 09:32:00 It was a white external enclosure, but it wasn't 2TB. It was 1000GB. jwil1 (65)
746752 2009-02-11 09:53:00 Isn't advertising great - sell something that has 1000GB or 1 TB --- lots of people who dont know the difference would assume the 1000 Gb is much more.

Some have no idea.

Listening to a person yesterday (she was talking loud so couldn't help but hear her) while at a customers house, she said some service company had to take away their PC for 3 weeks and reinstall the Operating system, but all their data that was stored on the MODEM, All pictures, music, emails should be recoverable from it :groan: ---- I tried not to laugh - OK, slight chuckle to my self. :D

746754 2009-02-11 23:53:00 LOL she seen the ad again and yeah, it was the 1TB drive from Noel Leeming i think. Still a good price, might have to get a couple :D thanks for the feedback guys and gals. springa886 (10558)

springa was referring to the amount of space that the hard drive has.

And yes, the advertisement was referring to a 1000GB HDD, not a 2000GB model.

Cheers :)
