| 555928 | 2007-06-06 08:29:00 | iPhone... sheesh couldn't they come up with a better name for it  Don't know why, it is called brand name consistency and it does what it says it does (bit like the chips advert). Why give a product a stupid complicated name when it is designed to do something simple? |

| 555930 | 2007-06-06 08:42:00 | simple? you call wireless telecommunications simple? Not at all, but that is something that the general public shouldn't have to worry about when making a simple phone call. ;) That is also why there are telecoms technicians and engineers and why Apple engineers are currently working on a solution with AT&T to reduce the drop out rate of their networks. Apple is very good and making the complicated things simple when it comes to hardware solutions. It all stems back to when Steve Wozniak was build the first circuit boards for the Apple I and Apple II and has carried on in Apple ever since. Woz is/was the electronics guru in the early days of Apple. |

| 555937 | 2007-06-06 12:45:00 | ah, you don't understand engineers my friend; "if it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough 'features' yet" Actually the original saying was "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Your one motorbyclist, is more akin to Microsoft. :D Or, if it is too simple, make it more complicated so that your forced to ad a bloated how to wizard to really screw things up then sell it in 8 versions with bits stripped out all the way through at confusing price breaks and then tell everybody that they can have lots of simple choices in order to pick the right one for that "seamless user experience".:p So that what was once great has now become a total SNAFU. |
