| 555548 | 2007-06-11 06:58:00 | first you will have to crop the images into "blocks" programs like image ready can do this and also output it to html which will make sure your images are lined up correctly You will have a index.html page on your server which you will replace with the page made by imageready(or similar) and also upload the images. You would then center them in the middle of the page and add the background and format the navigation bars images to link to there pages. I can do this for you if you wish and have it ready so its easy for you to edit if you aren't familiar with html I should be able to help Lovelee do this :) |

Loved: the applet with the views at the top of the page, the little pics (and the way they are bevelled?) situated at the bottom. They both make the site look very professional :D Really dislike: the font used in the text, (and especially) the twirling 'Favouite places/ other links' pic. Kills the otherwise professional look of the page But thats just my (trying to be constructive) opinion (I skipped most of this thread, so if they are in the process of being changed, disregard everything I said :p) |

| 555556 | 2007-06-19 22:43:00 | hahaha .. you guys crack me up. I love you all! I think you are both right :) Let me explain my thoughts about the site and what it leads to. My idea was to have people feel they are on holiday from the time they access the site. An accommodation site has to also give people ideas on what they can do in the area also (something I dont achieve yet) So the idea of the click through picture icons was to cover that .. with pics of what is available here. This place is unique, there are few places in NZ with very small seaside villages, one shop, absolutely safe swimming and sand play, boating, fishing etc. My attempt with the site was to show all that. The new one, I hope will make u feel sick (as web designers) cos I want a links/play page, where visitors can do a range of things from their comp speed to checking out their households carbon footprint. Makes people hang around the site, return (I hope) I want a visitors book. I totally appreciate all the feedback! (I got banned from MSN Group Community Feedback for giving a link to this site .. over there they come across as control freak americans .. their advice is fine .. but its how its imparted) Cheers Lovelee have a lovelee day all oo and Stu didnt contact me last night :confused: |
